Top 5 Questions Asked about our Dolphin & Nature Tour

.) What is the best time to see the dolphins? There is no perfect time, we have dolphins that live around Hilton Head Island year round so there are dolphins almost always around. They feed and are active all day so the best trip time really depends on what is best for your family or group.
.) What is the difference in the boats and do we get to pick our boat? We have 2 boats, the Pelican is a 26 foot fully restored retired Navy motor whaler, that holds up to 16 passengers. Our larger boat is a 45 foot flatbottom boat that holds up to 40 passengers. The way the boats work is if we have up to 16 passengers we typically take the Pelican, if we have over 16 up to 40 passengers we take the Island Queen and if there are over 40 passengers we take both boats. You can always request a preference but we never promise a specific boat for a tour unless you pay for a private charter or need handicap access. The Island Queen is handicap accessible, we always ask for advance notice if you or someone in your group needs the handicap accessibility so we can plan accordingly.
.) Do you have snacks on the tour? We sell snacks and drinks on the boat that you can purchase with cash. You are also welcome to bring your own, we just ask no glass be brought onto the boat for safety.
.) Are the boats covered? Yes, both of your boats have covering that provide some shade from the sun. We still encourage you to wear sunblock, sunglasses and a hat.
.) Do I need to make reservations? We very strongly encourage reservations because we do sell out on many of our trips, especially during the summer. We love to be able to get you on our trip and the best way to guarantee a seat is to make a reservation, especially large groups. In the spring and fall we require reservations.
